With some of the the world's highest dunes Namibia is a vast, wide open space with its fascinationg dunes merging with its' endless sky.

Namibia is named after the 80-million-year-old Namib Desert and is one of the driest places on earth. It's ancient dunes span the entire Atlantic coast, covering the 800 mile-long Skeleton Coast.

Namabia Wildlife

This escorted tour operates in a 16 seater micro-bus.  The tour visits all of Namibia's hot spots including Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Etosha National Park and is guaranteed to operate with an English-speaking guide.

At select waterholes zebra, wildebeest and gemsbok drink to the trumpeting of elephants and roaring of lions.

Then on to Damaraland, a mountainous wilderness region renowned for its outstanding natural beauty.  The hills contain Namibia's best known rock art and unique wildlife which includes the desert-aadapted elephant and free roaming black rhinos.

On to Swakopmund with its colonial architecture, atmospheric streets and delicious seafood and then finally to Sossusvlei, in the heart of the Namib Desert and home to the world's tallest sand dunes, some of which tower over 300 metres high.  Watching the changing mood and colours at sunrise and sunset is one of Namibia's highlights, as is climbing them.

DAY 1 FRIDAY  GATWICK - WINDHOEK
Fly overnight from Gatwick to Windhoek

DAY 2 SATURDAY - WINDHOEK
Arrive in Windhoek in the moring. Today is free to explore

DAY 3 SUNDAY - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Early morning departure via the local markets of Okahanja and Otjikoto Lake, to Etosha National Park. (560 km)

DAY 4 MONDAY - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
A full day game drive in a closed vehicle

DAY 5 TUESDAY - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Another thrilling day in search of game in Etosha.  After lunch at Halalai Rest camp, continue west through the park. (100 km)

DAY 6 WEDNESDAY - DAMARALAND
An early start to see the highlights of Damaraland.  Travel through Otjo and several Damara villages before arriving at the lodge around lunchtime. (250 km)

DAY 7 THURSDAY - DAMARALAND
Today visit the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein and geological features such as Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain.  Afternoon at leisure. (80 km)

DAY 8 FRIDAY - SWAKOPMUND
Continue to Henties Bay and then proceed to the charming coastal resort of Swakopmund and visit some of the regions natural wonders. (180 km)

DAY 9  SATURDAY - SWAKOPMUND
Day at leisure in Swakopmund with optional excursions including the museum, aquarium, crystal gallery or harbour cruise.

DAY 10 SUNDAY - SOSSUSVLEI
Travel via Walvis Bay to the edges of the Namib Desert and then proceed through the southern region of Namib Naukluft Park, the Kuiseb Canyon and Gaub Pass.  (250 km)

DAY 11 MONDAY - SOSSUSVLEI
Visit the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, with the opportunity to climb to the top of the dunes before returning to the lodge.  (80 km)

DAY 12 TUESDAY - SOSSUSVLEI - WINDHOEK
Today is the last day of the tour.  Drive through the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass and on to Windhoek airport for your overnight flight home.  (400 km) or your chosen extension.

DAY 1 FRIDAY  GATWICK - WINDHOEK
Take the non-stop overnight flight to Windhoek with Air Namibia

DAY 2 SATURDAY  ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Arrive in Windhoek and fly by small charter plane to Etosha airstrip.  Your camp is located on the eastern outskirts of Etosha.  After lunch enjoy your first game drive on the Onguma reserve.  Overnight: Onguma Tented Camp

DAY 3 SUNDAY  ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Full day game drive (with packed lunch) in Etosha.  Overnight: Onguma Tented Camp

DAY 4 MONDAY  DAMARALAND
After breakfast take the flight to Damaraland.  After settling into your lodge (a luxury tented lodge in the style of an African Village, set amidst imposing boulders) enjoy lunch and an excursion to the ancient rock engravings of Twyfelfontein.  Overnight: Mowani Mountain Camp

DAY 5 TUESDAY  DAMARALAND
Spend the morning exploring Twyfelfontein.  Afternoon free to relax or take a game drive in the riverbed in search of rare desert elephants.  Overnight: Mowani Moutain Camp

DAY 6 WEDNESDAY  SWAKOPMUND/DESERT
After breakfast you will fly to the coastal town of Swakopmund.  Time to explore and maybe try an activity such as quad biking (payable locally) before setting off for a scenic flight along the coast and over the twoering dunes of Sossusvlei.  Arrive at your lodge in time for a "sundowner" and settle into your beautiful chalet with breathtaking views of the dunes.  Overnight: Wolwedans Dunes Lodge

DAY 7 THURSDAY  NAMIB RAND NATURE RESERVE
After breakfast depart on a full day Land Rover safari in the nature reserve.  Overnight: Wolwedans Dunes Lodge

DAY 8 FRIDAY  NAMIB NATURE RESERVE
A day to relax!  Alternatively you could opt for an early morning balloon flight over the dunes or a day trip to Fish River Canyon (payable locally).  Overnight: Wolwedans Dunes Lodge

DAY 9 SATURDAY  NAMIB GAME RESERVE - WINDHOEK - GATWICK
Return by air-taxi to Windhoek in the morning.  You will then be free until your overnight flight back to Gatwick.  Alternatively why not extend your stay and visit Cape Twon or another Southern African destination.
